Summer 2013 Fellowship
The Made In A Free World Summer Fellowship Program is not your typical internship. We place a high value on providing our Fellows with an experience focused on professional development and education about modern-day slavery. As such, we are looking for passionate, engaged citizens who will make the most of this exceptional opportunity. This program includes goal setting, a weekly book club, periodic field trips, guest speaker, and workshops on personal and professional growth.
A Fellowship consists of 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9-5) in our office in downtown Oakland, California (steps away from the 12th Street BART station). We ask that Fellows provide their own laptops for the duration of their position, if they are able (don't let this stop you from applying if not). Fellowships are unpaid; however, we offer our Fellows a travel stipend for public transportation as a way to offset costs. We are very happy to help anyone obtain school credit.
